Cargo

It's been interesting. Great breakfast - barring the coffee (I NEED to find a decent espresso) we headed to pick up the bikes at Vista Cargo building G.
Now, where my experience with anything related to uk government bodies proves to be document-laden, overly-complex, jobs-worth kind of experience, our getting-the-bikes proved to be document-laden but run by the most pleasant, helpful people you could possibly want to meet. Honestly. Yes there was the 5-copies-go-there-come-back-here-then-over-there experience. But everyone was very nice and helpful. Are you listening .gov.uk?

Uncrating the bikes was simple enough:the only spanner-work being for mirrors and my top-box plate. And we were soon on our way. For 100 yards. The bike felt strange and I got a tyre pressure warning. I'd managed to run over a tube of glue which was now firmly attached to the rear. That pealed off, we proceeded. For 50 yards. Still pressure warning - JJ too. This can't be right. Mmmm. Air cargo - deflate tyres for safety. Doh! Petrol - or gas if you will - 91 octane. Nope, next. So finally with fuel on board and a reasonable amount of air we were looking very sweaty and at a quick trip to Niagra. Until the thunder started. Beer it is then. Garmin. I'd obviously set it for 'avoid motorways' so we travelled back to the hotel using the most circuitous route possible - in the rain. I'd obviously also selected the option to ride on all the tram tracks in toronto. It was .............. Fun

Heading to Lake Placid tomorrow. Avoiding the aligator - obviously
